So, now I am back home again but not empty handed, oh no!! Apart from some great memories and a wonderful sense of well being having been mentally and physically restored, I have more black pudding than you can shake a stick at….
Not everyones cup of tea but you must try it once - seriously!
No trip would be complete without a small purchase of tweed. Here I have some beautiful jewel coloured plains….
And some new style coloured plaids….
I particularly like the one on the bottom and have bought extra to make a bag…… for myself!! I never make myself anything but that is all going to change.
Last but not least I have this beautiful handmade willow Hebridean Sket……
A gift from Isobel as a thank you for doing all the driving – totally unnecessary but very much appreciated! Thank you Is for being the perfect travelling companion/photography mentor!
It is sitting in the hearth in my living room holding a couple of hebridean stones (gneiss?) that I collected at Port Ness when I first went over to buy tweed a few years ago. I think they look like eggs in a nest – a symbol of ideas/future plans about to hatch ?(hopefully!)
That concludes our trip around the Outer Hebrides and west coast of Scotland - as Isobel and I constantly remark – how fortunate we are to live in this beautiful, beautiful country!
A colourful, positive and uplifting way to conclude our memorable trip Suz! We did pack a lot in didn't we - again! 'Till next time.....! (Now get cracking on your new and inspired designs!)xx

Loved your Hebridean trip stories with links to places you visited. I will really have to go there now! The Willow lady in your picture was made by Dawn Susan (with Serena de la Hay at the Castle green, Stornoway for the Hebridean Celtic Festival) who made your Hebridean Sket - it is mentioned in her biography on your link above.
Thanks love Harris Tweed and your work.
