I haven't got anything specific to post about today - just a couple of random thoughts and a giveaway. Firstly I wanted to say how great I thought the drama about Boy George that was on BBC2 on Sunday night was - just brilliant! I was a teenager around that time and it totally took me back (in a good way) You can catch it on BBC iPlayer for the next couple of weeks. The documentary about Britpop that was on after it was also a real trip down memory lane too although I was never much of a New Romantic - I preferred David Bowie and The Smiths - still do ( by the way, am I the only one to think that Phil Oakey is the only pop star from that era to actually improve with age!?) The clips of the strikes and of Mrs Thatcher sent a chill down my spine - not a good time for Britain - still don't trust the Conservative party (but enough of that)
I also wanted to recommend some fab cleaning products that I have just discovered - no doubt many of you already know about them but I was very excited to find these Method eco cleaning products at my local Homebase...
I also found this site which is very informative. Oh, and the bodycare range I was going on about in a previous post is also available online here.
Now that I have got that out of my system we can get down to the more serious business of this weeks Giveaway! I have a few bits and pieces that I have found while tidying my workroom that I feel I can live without and that need a good home. This one is for all lovers of yarn. I bought this book and these mini-skeins from Alchemy Fibre Arts when I was in the grip of severe yarn fever..........
but after attending a spinning course I realised that it was not for me and that I should stick to trying to master crochet and knitting (still failing on the knitting front sadly) before adding yet more hobbies to my ever growing list (feltmaking too fell by the wayside after a rather disappointing attempt)
So if you fancy exploring a new skill just leave a comment on this post and I will put your name into a hat - will do the draw on Sunday 23rd May at noon.
Also up for grabs are 4 metres of iron on plastic coating.
It is 45cms wide and is supposed to be used to waterproof cloth - I tried and failed to come to grips with it but if some brave soul out there wants to give it a go, be my guest - first to ask will receive! There are some tutorials on how to use it online.
Finally, as I have not posted any Yogi Tea Wisdom for quite some time I leave you with this thought....
Are there a few things lurking in your workroom that you could live without? Why not have a rummage and do a giveaway - it feels good!
...agree witht the last one, you can see the association of possessed and possession! managed to come back from York with one book, and no tat (or ahem, gifts!) Cxxx

I'm too late for the giveaway, though I would have loved the book and yarn, hey ho.
I totally agree with you about the Boy George thing on the telly - we loved it, though we were parents of children growing up at that time!
