I took these snaps yesterday when I was on my way back from a morning walk. The weather continues to be glorious and the sunshine adds a vivid glow to everything. I don't know what these flowers are but they are gorgeous................
they are such a lovely shade of red/orange......
and there is a whole bush of them climbing up the neighbours wall.........
You can just about see it here (I am staying in the house with the little dormer style windows)
Everyone takes such care over their gardens and public space here. For the past three days there has been assorted people mowing the graveyard in the church and strimming all the roadside grass, collecting litter, planting spring flowers outside the church and at the weekend most of the neighbours were out painting the fences that run through the old part of the village white! This is a conservation village so I suppose you must feel a certain duty to maintain it if you are going to live here. I for one am glad that they do - it's beautiful!
Vaguely remember when I was a particularly fastidious gardener but time these days is required elsewhere - like spending this lovely weekend preparing for my first Morningside Makers Market - next weekend! Lovely location Suzanne, lucky you!
