Having let things slide a little of late I have been very busy this past week attending to all the little chores that get ignored when one is preoccupied with boring stuff like like getting up really early and getting home really late ie: work. Slowly but surely I am making headway at last starting with turning these assorted bags and out of date calendars .................
into some useful tags ands cards to use when sending mail order items off to their new homes.
I love the illustrations in these Ecological calendars and was determined to find a use for them. I cut them into useful sizes and spray mounted them onto some coloured card that I had to make postcards.
I like to include a handwritten message to the purchaser with my stuff. Because of the shape I have cut them they can also be made into tags or used as bookmarks - multipurpose!
The bags made loads of really useful tags as they were brightly patterned........
and the handles will be useful too! I particularly like these wee highland coo tags......
I have punched holes in them and used some of the Harris Tweed thread that I bought from a charity shop in Stornoway for 10p! Bargain! After a couple of hours cutting and sticking, all my tag/card needs are sorted for this year and I don't need to spend money on buying cards. Double whammy - saving money and recycling!
So it's on with the next 'chore' - recycled draught excluders!!
hey, pretty...! by the way, have you seen bellabheag.blogspot.com! Cx

We are in the process of doing a major clean up ( & clean out) motivated almost entirely by the move. It's exhilarating to pass on things that haven't even seen the light of day for months but daunting as well!
Love your new header.
