Some exciting arrivals through the post have rekindled my interest in making and I have been going a bit crazy with my cutting shears. I recently ordered a load of Harris Tweed and on Saturday it arrived - I couldn't wait to get stuck in........
and I cut out lots of cafetiere cosy fronts. Then came my favourite job............
sewing on all the labels! There is something so therapeutic about this it should be available on the NHS.
This is the first time since before christmas that I have felt like doing any sewing - think I burnt myself out a bit. A new batch of tweed was just what I needed to rekindle my enthusiam. Best of all I got to put my new pincushion through it's paces.........
I am so happy with this pincushion bought from this shop - it is so beautifully made - wish I could buy everything in the shop. It was really difficult to decide which one to buy!
I also received some yarn I ordered way back at the beginning of November - just when I thought it had been lost in transit it turned up. I am so glad it did as I just love these colours from Yummy Yarn.
'
The pink and green yarn is rather aptly named 'Rot Your Teeth' - it reminds of the colours in a fruit salad chew! Also in the package were these smaller skeins......
This really is the last splurge on yarn for a LONG TIME and it was in the sale!! I have to start using what I already have before I buy any more - it is so hard though with all the lovely yarns available on Etsy! I just see it as my duty as a good etsian (whenever I see that written I think of Star Trek aliens "Watch out Captain there's an Etsian behind you!") to spread the wealth around - when I sell something I buy something - that's the law of the universe isn't it?
Yeh - you're back! Sometimes it is just difficult to find the motivation isn't it? Must be something in the crafting wind Suzanne - I spent time at the weekend making some new cards, which I haven't done since before Christmas! Too easily knocked off track I am! I have never been able to get my head around Valentine's Day cards, which for most card makers is an ideal time to be making. I just don't enjoy making them - can't explain! As Mother's Day is looming I started on some card making at the weekend and I am v happy with the results thus far. Getting back into the crafting groove feel's good doesn't it?! BBx

I love the colour of the tweeds you use. Where do you get them from. I've been looking for some and so far haven't managed to find the jewel like colours you use.
