Thank God I cracked "it" before "it" cracked me. I am talking, of course, about the new Typepad compose editor. I have been locked in a life and death battle with it since Wednseday when I discovered that it had changed and that I could no longer upload photos! Finally, my keyboard awash with the bitter tears of frustration, I worked out that the "new" typepad does not like Safari and have now sorted the problem out by downloading Firefox. Great. Well, great until December when Firefox will no longer support Firefox 2 and all users will have to use Firefox 3. All users except those users with an old Mac mini that only has OSX 10.3.9. What am I supposed to do then - go out and buy a brand new all singing all dancing iMac? I couldn't possibly do that....................could I?
Anyway, now that I have the capacity to upload some pics I would like to share with you my latest charity shop finds. I have spent the last week scouring every charity shop in Glasgow, including Paddy's Market, for suitable costumes for the show my mate Ness has written, and in the process have managed to score a couple of goodies for myself.
Some mugs........
...to replace some broken through sheer clumsiness.
A lovely coloured scarf - too scratchy to wear but perfect...........
....for felting. But most exciting of all a couple of nasty candlesticks! I wouldn't give them houseroom but they are just perfect for using to display my mini stockings.................
Don't worry Ness! I got costumes too!
I swear, Typepad's constant 'improvements' were half of what drove me to getting my own domain.

You just can't beat thrift shop finds! I try and spend one day a month dropping stuff off to the shop near my house and give myself a budget of £3 to find stuff! I love it :) Love those mugs too!

in my costuming past i could scour a charity shop rail with immense speed to find what i was looking for. i was very proud of that although my arms usually ended up aching. Love your mugs... what a find.
i have firefox but i am finding it annoying on my sweetmyrtle blog that my uploaded pics seem to be cropped!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who found Typepad's "improvements" a real pain. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have stayed away from the blog for so long if it wasn't for not wanting to enter the battle yet again.
But I'm back now and fully intend to feature your delightful needlecase in a post in the not to distant future.

Computers can be so frustrating. We got a virus in ours over two weeks ago and it still is not resolved. In fact I am thinking of buying a new computer, I'm so disgusted with it.
My husband has been working and working on it. It's still not resolved. The only solution is to wipe it clean and start from scratch.
Ouch!!!
Thrift Shop finds are great.
