A wee bit of crafting has been going on, but of the gift variety, which means no blogging about it until gifts have been distributed(it seems everyone I know has a birthday in July/August - including myself!) Also the hateful Annual Tax Return is severely cramping my style. However, I have been out and about enough to visit several of the charity shops in my area where I have been very fortunate to find the following.....
very large spools of mohair in a variety of colours - I only chose 3 but there are more (from Sense Scotland, Cathcart Road Susan if you are interested - still loads there!)
A Wally Jumper for felting...........
Made in Glasgow no less! And some lovely pastel coloured Espresso cups.......
I am still a little smitten with crochet but have moved on from Twilleys Spirit to some handspun yarn from Nessie Knits (my first purchase from Etsy!)
I fell in love with the colors and textures of this yarn and the corsages are really chunky - just the thing to brighten up a black winter coat - (yes people I am thinking ahead) and they are both for ME!!! Mwahahahaha!
Sorry - not sure what happened there - maybe it is the the euphoria of knowing that I have 6 weeks uninterrupted holiday starting today plus I have been rubbing pieces of bubblewrap with glycerine soap all morning.......can you guess what I have been up to!?
All I can say is that it is a great start to the weekend and to my summer hols! Happy weekend everyone!x
There's plenty to see here...excitement in the making! I love those espresso cups, especially the turquoise ones. I think you make inspired purchases in your charity shops! Hope you have a wonderful six weeks off (and sod the tax return, too!) Diana x

great finds! and I think the jumper would make a lovely 'tank-top' with a bit of redoing the neckline... I really like the pattern and colour!

I am interested!! Now, how to find the time to visit during opening hours?. If only there were late night charity shops....so close, yet so far away. sigh.
