I have been trying to take photos whilst stopped at traffic lights but have been pretty unsuccessful! Either I don't have my camera ready or the subject I am trying to photograph is too far away or else there is nothing worth taking a photo of - perhaps I need to think more creatively.
I took a couple of snaps on my way to work last week on a particularly bleak Glasgow morning which are pretty poor but I find them quite amusing.
This is a photo of Cosmo Ceramics - a business on a wee industrial estate I pass every day going to and from my house.
Not a great photo but if you look closely you can see a large shape just to the right of the trees. It is not until you get close to the shop that you see what it really is.....
...isn't it great! A giant ceramic replica of Michaelangelos' David! I suppose if you are going to use one of the most recognised works of art in the world as a business mascot you might as well go the whole hog! He looks so incongruous stuck up on the metalwork amongst the barbed wire.
This sign had me giggling for ages afterwards....
How much more camp could it be!?
I also passed this...
...some enterprising soul has set up a cappuccino stand in an old Police box. I like the way it says Cappuccino above the existing Police sign. You can't see this from my photo (told you they were bad!) but take my word for it! Look out! The cappuccino police are on patrol - better not let them catch you with a skinny latte!
Hope to be back to posting properly at the end of next week, about my knitting and felting activities among other things. I am also hoping to get started on setting up an etsy shop - scary!
Ha! I do love that sign! what a great idea for photoblogging XX

That statue makes me smile--especially being in a setting you wouldn't at all expect.
And setting up shop isn't scary at all! The interface is so user-friendly, you'll find it's cake.
